OUR STORY

Women-led, Kiwi loved

Based in Nelson and loved throughout NZ, Perky Peche brings a distinctly Kiwi perspective to women’s activewear, blending local, small business values with quality materials and thoughtful design that reflects the spirit, lifestyle, and body types of real New Zealand women.

Functional Design

Attention to detail in design is paramount for us. Materials, fit, and most importantly: how it makes you feel - you name it, we specifically design for it so that your activewear feels, fits and works how you truly want it to.

Kiwi Roots

We are a homegrown Kiwi family business that is locally owned and operated. Everything is personally designed, quality-checked, and shipped across New Zealand all from our small in-house team in Nelson.

Empowering Women

We are a girl's girl brand through and though. We believe every woman should feel empowered to move freely, feel confident, look their best, and embrace their femininity - no matter what.

FOUNDER & DESIGNER

Elle Lenihan

Elle started Perky Peche in 2017 with a market stall and a dream to do activewear better.
After a career in retail working for the likes of Lorna Jane, Sketchers, Max, and more, Elle saw there was a gap in the market for women's activewear that was made for more than just the gym, and that does what women really needed it to.
We've since grown to a flagship retail store, a massive range of products loved by women all over the country, and a team of six. Now as a mum of 3 herself, Elle stays true to designing for real women's bodies and lifestyles.
In 2025, Elle was nominated for the Kiwibank Young Business Leader of the Year in the Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.
