About Perky Peche
Certifiably so! We take pride in using only high-quality fabrics, and care about how safe they are for your skin and body.
All of our tights, shorts, and bras are made with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Certified fabrics. OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is an independent testing and certification system for textiles. Fabrics are tested by an accredited institute against a list of substances known to harmful to health, and they have to meet limits that are in some cases stricter than legal requirements.
Most of our fabrics are certified under this standard by Hohenstein Laboratories in Germany, which applies to the fabric our garments are made from, and the certification is reviewed annually.
Our fabrics also don't have any added PFAs (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances).
Yes, we are proud to be Kiwi!
Perky Peche is 100% New Zealand locally owned and operated. Our founder Elle Lenihan personally designs all of our garments from our flagship store in Nelson, New Zealand, and all of our online orders are packed and shipped directly from our store too.
Our garments are made overseas in order to keep them affordable for the average New Zealander, but we ensure our manufacturing adheres to our values when it comes to high-quality fabric, welfare, and certification standards and processes.
We aim to offer an inclusive size range. Our products start at size 6 and go up to 18-22.
The fit of our garments are very intentionally designed, and we often find customers can size up or down in up to two sizes in certain products for an ideal fit, so we encourage you to follow the fit guides or (come see us in-store for a try on) as your ideal size may be different from what you usually purchase from other brands. We are also always happy to answer sizing questions so flick us a message if you want to chat it through!
As a small business, we order in smaller quantities and often sell out of particular sizes. So if you don't see your size available, you can join our product waitlist to get first dibs when restocks come in.
Shipping is free NZ-wide, with no minimum spend. Rural addresses are $7.
Once you place an order, we aim to process, pack, and ship within 24 hours so you can get wearing it as soon as possible.
While we do aim to provide overnight shipping, some factors are outside our control so your delivery can typically be expected within 1-3 business days just to be safe! If you live rurally, your order may take a bit longer to arrive based on your area, and Australian orders can expect to take two weeks.

Product FAQs
We purposely still prioritise a front seam on our bottoms, and for good reason!
This is because it allows for us to design with two individual panels that independently move and contour to the body for the most flattering fit, and seams can actually distract attention away from our most intimate areas. Removing the front seam means fabric can otherwise "collect" in creasing areas...IYKYK.
This does NOT mean our products cause the dreaded camel toe. In fact, we make very sure they don't through rigorous design and testing processes. Getting the right size and fit also helps avoid this, and we offer free professional fittings in store!
If you are still partial to a seamless tight, we do have some things in the works and on the way so stay tuned ;)
Yes. In the right size, all our leggings are 100% squat-proof!
Our non-roll styles (Core Alexis, Performance and Tilly) are designed to stay put. No legging suits every body, so if yours rolls, message us and we’ll help you find the right style and size.
Same buttery-soft fabric, same tight, but Comfort Alexis has our original soft waistband, and Core Alexis has an invisible elastic band for extra hold.
Our Performance Run Tights, which have a drawcord to keep them in place and are made from our most breathable material.
Any soft fabric can pill when it's exposed to rubbing, but it doesn't mean it's come to the end of its life. Our Alexis fabric is our softest fabric, so it's important to follow care instructions to keep them looking and feeling their best. If pilling shows up, a fabric shaver tidies it up and is an easy, cost effective way to make them look new again! If you want something hardier, our Tilly and Performance tights are made to resist pilling.
